Focus and Scope

Oseanika: Jurnal Riset dan Rekayasa Kelautan, the Journal of Marine Research and Engineering, is a bilingual journal (Indonesian and English) published two times a year which is in April and October and provide a scientific publication medium for researchers, engineers, practitioners, academicians, and observers in the field related to marine science and technology. This journal is a media to actualize the thinking, ideas and results of research and engineeringand thus accepts original papers, review articles, case studies, and short communications. The articles published are peer-reviewed by no less than two referees, and cover various marine science and technology subjects related to the field of oceanography, geology and geophysic, environment, as well as life sciences in general.

Peer Review Process

  • Provide written feedback at the right time on the scientific benefits and scientific value of the work, it is carried out by documenting in writing the opinions of bestari partners.
  • Shows whether the writing has a clear, concise and relevant composition of the work and rating, scientific accuracy, originality, and appeal to the reader.
  • Determine scientific achievement, originality, and scope of work; show how to fix it, and recommend acceptance or rejection when using the rating scale.
  • Pay attention to all ethical concerns, such as substantial similarities between the latest manuscripts and published papers or manuscripts submitted to other journals.
  • Warn editors about any personal, financial or conflict of interest conflicts and decline when reviewing possible conflicts.
  • Ensure that articles published comply with journal standards.
  • Be wary of the failure to cite relevant work by other scientists

Oseanika is an online scientific publication which is published online two times a year,  in  April and October.


Open Access Policy

Oseanika provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
